Come and get to know Benicassim

The old quarters

In the centre of the old quarters we can find the Santo Tomás de Villanueva Parish Church constructed in a Neoclassic style of the 18th century, and Bodegas Carmelitano (Carmelite Wineries).

A large part of the restaurants, bars, pubs and terraces are located on the main roads of the old quarters. Here you can also find the cultural centre of the city and its business area.

Palmas Natural Desert Park

It is a small, mountainous area with a variety of indigenous species. Here we can also find the famous rock, called stoneware and interesting calcareous deposits. At the top of the park we can enjoy the fantastic coastal and sea views, as well as climbing up the Bartolo Peak, 714 metres above sea level or visiting the old Monastery Ruins (from the end of the 17th century), the Chapels, the New Monastery Museum (from the end of the 18th century), the Montornes Castle (10th century) and the fountains.

Finding the Natural Park by car is very easy because it is perfectly signposted on the surrounding roads and once inside, there are areas to leave your car and begin to wander.
